The delegation of Binh Phuoc province attended the Lenten Candle Procession Festival in Thailand

(BP Portal) - Receiving the invitation of the provincial governor of Ubon Ratchathani, Kingdom of Thailand, from 01/08 to 03/08, the delegation of Binh Phuoc province was led by Vice President of the People’s Committee of the province - Mr. Tran Van Mi as head of the delegation attended the Buddhism Lenten Candle Procession Festival in 2023 organized by Ubon Ratchathani province. The Summer Candle Procession Festival is held on Asalha Puja and Khao Phansa (Buddhism Lenten).  This is the largest religious festival in Ubon Ratchathani with a focus on giant beeswax candles made for parades, entertainment and meritorious purposes to show respect and respect for  Buddhism and also an opportunity for the people here to together create good relationships, connect, share joy and love in the community.  During the main festival days at the temple, there are also fun, entertainment, cultural and artistic activities imbued with the cultural identity of the local people.
Earlier, on 01/8, the Delegation of Binh Phuoc province had a meeting and greeting Mr. Chôn La Thi – Dằng Trồn, Governor of Ubon Ratchathani province. At the meeting, Vice President of the People’s Committee of Binh Phuoc Province - Mr. Tran Van Mi sent the best congratulations to the Governor, and he was also pleased to know that the Buddhism Lenten Candle Procession of Ubon Ratchathani province has become a major cultural event of the Kingdom of Thailand, which is a proud tradition of the government and people of the province of Ubon Ratchathani.
