Hoa Lu Border Gate Economic Zone

 
Nature
- Be the border gate economic zone to develop the economic, cultural, and political and diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cambodia.
- Be the center of commerce, industry, tourism, and service of Binh Phuoc Province.
- Be the railway and road traffic hub of the region.
- Have an important position for the national defense and security.

Scope
Include communes of Loc Thinh, Loc Tan, Loc Hoa, Loc Thanh, and Loc Ninh town, Loc Ninh district; have a total natural land area of 28,364 ha.

Land use plan to 2025
- Land for the border gate management, trade, and service area is approximately 466 ha.
- The duty-free land area is approximately 2,965 ha.
- Land for constructing the border gate urban area (duty area) is about 5,666 ha, including 1,597 ha and 4,069 ha of residential area and land not belonging to the civil zone, respectively.
- Residential land and agricultural cultivation land are about 4,697 ha.
- Concentrated rural residential land is about 428 ha.
- Forest land is about 12,611 ha.
- The water surface (river, spring, pond, lake) is about 531 ha.
- Traffic (out of the city) is about 1,000 ha.

Investment priority programs and projects
- Investment projects on technical infrastructure:
+ Improvement and expansion of the National Highway No. 13, at the section passing Hoa Lu Border Gate Economic Zone.
+ Construction of water plants; 220 kV and 110 kV stations and 220 kV and 110 kV wire lines in accordance with the development progress of the urban areas.
+ Investment projects on constructing the wastewater treatment areas and waste areas.
+ Investment projects on constructing the technical infrastructure of a commercial and industrial area.

- Investment projects on developing the duty-free zones and residential areas:
+ Investment projects on constructing urban residential areas and resettlement areas.
+ Investment projects on border gate management, trading and service areas.
