Increase cooperation between the People’s Court of Binh Phuoc province with the preliminary court of provinces bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia

(BP Portal)- Implementing a joint statement of the Court of Countries of Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia and a Memorandum of Understanding of Cooperation between People's Court of Binh Phuoc Province with the Court of Provinces bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia, in the afternoon of 3/8, the People's Court of Binh Phuoc Province held a meeting, cooperating with the Primary Court of Kratie, Mondulkiri and Tboung Khmum in the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Attending the conference was Chief Justice of the Primary Court of Kratie, Mondulkiri and Tboung Khmum: Mr. Tob Chhunheng, Mr. Than Leng and Mr. Chea Vanna, and the head of the Prosecutor’s Institute, Judge, Secretary of the Court of 3 provinces. On the part of the People's Court of Binh Phuoc Province, Chief Justice of the People's Court of the province, Deputy Justice of the People's Court of the provincial People's Court and Chief Justice of the People's Court of districts, towns and cities. At the conference, the two sides have exchanged some information on the situation of socio-economic development, the situation in crime and the results of the fight in the cross border crime prevention; Sharing the legal system and sharing experiences in the trials of the 2 Country Court and the Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Court with the courts of 3 provinces of Kingdom of Cambodia, in particular the difficulties and problems of coordination in resolving criminal cases involving two countries' citizens.

In the past time, the crime, mainly drug crime, illegal cross-border trafficking, has become increasingly diverse and complex and growing in both size and risk. In these cases, drug crime has become one of the most common cross-national crimes and its increasingly sophisticated activity, a strong coherence among the offenders. Therefore, the two sides concluded that close cooperation was needed to effectively control and prevent transnational crime. The meeting of exchange and cooperation is the annual activity of the People’s Court of Binh Phuoc Province with the Preliminary Court of the provinces bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia to exchange issues of experience in trial work, building laws, and creating legal basis for the parties to facilitate the implementation of the trial. The conference also demonstrates the efforts of the People’s Court of Binh Phuoc Province with the Early Court of the three provinces bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia in fulfilling its commitment to prevent crime and is an opportunity for the courts of border provinces to assess the achievements and difficulties to continually improve cooperation efficiency, strengthen exchanges, tighten solidarity and friendship./.
