Binh Phuoc province Women's Union of and 3 provinces of Cambodia signed an important memorandum of understanding

(Binh Phuoc Portal) - On the morning, November 30, 2023, Binh Phuoc Provincial Women's Union held a conference to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development in Kratie, Mondulkiri, Tboung Khmun provinces.

Attending the conference were alternate members of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Women's Union - Mrs. Ton Ngoc Hanh; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council- Nguyen Tan Hai; Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Phuoc province - Mrs. Le Thi Xuan Trang and leaders of a number of departments, branches and units of the province.

On the side of the delegation of the Cambodian Women's Branch for Peace and Development of Kratie Provinces, Mondulkiri, Tboung Khmun were attended by Ms. Kham Sopheap, Member of the Standing Committee of the Cambodian People's Party, Chairman of the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Kratie Province; Ms. Ni Chanthida, Deputy Governor, Chairman of the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Tboung Khmun Province; Ms. Som Sovathdi, Vice Chairman of the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Mondulkiri Province and members in the group. Binh Phuoc is a province that shares a border with many provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia, with many cultural, economic and social similarities. Over the years, the relationship between Binh Phuoc province and Kratie, Mondulkiri, Taboung Khmum provinces have always been strengthened, developed and achieved many important results. The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Binh Phuoc Province Women's Union and the Cambodian Women's Union for Peace and Development of Kratie, Mondulkiri, Taboung Khmum provinces is an important milestone, marking a new development in the cooperation relationship between the parties.

At the conference, delegates of the parties exchanged, discussed and highly agreed with the direction of cooperation in the period 2023-2027.

In a warm, friendly atmosphere, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding for the period 2023-2027. The Memorandum of Understanding focuses on contents such as: The parties actively promote propaganda, education, raise awareness for women and people in bordering provinces to preserve and develop solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries; strengthen the organization of cultural and artistic activities that contribute to the preservation and promotion of the cultural identity of the two ethnic groups; mobilize the people to comply with the law, without violating the regulations and agreements related to the border of two countries. Every year, delegations are organized to visit and exchange experiences on women's work, organize to evaluate the results of the implementation of the signed contents... The memorandum creates a solid legal basis for the parties to continue to strengthen cooperation, coordinate the implementation of practical and effective activities, contributing to tightening the solidarity and friendship between women of the two countries and the development of the two countries: Vietnam - Cambodia./.
