Cooperation between Binh Phuoc Provinces and Champasak with tangible results

(BP Portal) - For the past five years, the situation of cooperation between Binh Phuoc and Champasak, according to the memorandum signed between the two provinces, has been positive in many respects. As a result, the two provinces further develop a strong bond of friendship and development. That was confirmed at a working session between provincial leader Binh Phuoc and the provincial delegation of Champasak, the Lao People's Democratic Republic, held on 22/8.

Speaking in welcome, Mr.Nguyen Manh Cuong- the secretary of the province Committee said that the Party, the government and the people of Binh Phuoc Province were honored and excited to receive the Champasak senior party delegation visiting and working in the province. This was one of the important events to demonstrate the determination of the two provinces' leaders in the organization of activities celebrating the anniversary of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Lao friendship relations (5/9/1962-5/9/2022) and the 45-year signing of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty (18/7/1977-18/7/2022).

Despite the complex development of Covid-19 in Vietnam, Laos and the rest of the world over the past two years, the two provinces have worked hard to maintain, develop and expand friendly, cooperative, shared and mutually supportive relations in all circumstances. Binh Phuoc and Champasak have made the correct and full implementation of the memorandum of Cooperation.

Mr.Nguyen Manh Cuong- The Party secretary expects the two provinces to further strengthen their cooperation and friendship relationship through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for the period 2022-2026. This will be a basis for the two sides to effectively implement the next cooperation programs, which will deepen the traditional and comprehensive cooperation between the two provinces.

At the session, Mrs.Tran Tue Hien- the Vice Secretary of provincial Committee, the chairperson of the provincial Peoples' Committee made a quick announcement to the delegation on the province's economic, cultural and social development and on the outstanding situation of cooperation between the two provinces over the five-year period (2017-2022).

Over the past five years, the situation of cooperation between two provinces: Binh Phuoc and  Champasak, has been very positive in many respects. For the exchange and exchange of delegates, Binh Phuoc province regularly organizes delegates to visit and attend holidays and tet at the invitation of Champasak Province; Sending out provincial delegation of workers on tour in a spirit of cooperation, help and cultural exchange of sport between Binh Phuoc and Champasak. On the Champasak province side, delegates have sent to visit and attend holidays and tet in Binh Phuoc Province.

In people's foreign affairs, the province's Vietnam and Laos Friendship Conference held the first Congress of People's Deputies, 2015-2020, on 28/9/2015. In the course of its activities, the Society has contributed greatly to people's foreign relations between Binh Phuoc and Lao People's Democratic Republic. It has coordinated with the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations to organize visits, medical examination and delivery of medicines and gifts to people in the province of Champasak.

In terms of cultural, sports and tourism cooperation, December 2018, Binh Phuoc Province combined with Ho Chi Minh City to organize the 21st "Nam Ki-Rebellion" international cycling Competition, 3 countries in Indochinese Cambodian-Lao - Vietnam. Previously, in 9/2018, the province had organised the Famtrip Expedition to survey the travel route through Hoa Lu International Border crossing, Loc Ninh District. Tourism across four countries: Viet Nam, Cambodia, Laos, and Thailand. Routes through the provinces include: Binh Phuoc (Vietnam); Kratie, Stung Treng, Cambodia; Champasak; Ubon Ratchathani (Thailand).

In educational cooperation, every year Champasak province supports Binh Phuoc Province, with 2 full Lao language scholarships for the Champasak officials at the Memo signed between the two provinces.

In the medical field, each year the province hosts Champasak provincial retirement officials who visit, do physical and recuperation in the province according to the memorandoms signed between the two provinces./.
