At the meeting, Mr Nguyen Manh Cuong - the Party Secretary appreciates the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Japan in the past and wants Mr Sasaki Hajime to continue interested in supporting and promoting cooperation in the future. In particular, supporting Binh Phuoc Province in connecting with a number of localities of Japan to learn about and establish local cooperation relations; Also to introduce and select reputable and experienced Japanese investors to survey and implement investment projects in line with the potential and strengths of Binh Phuoc Province.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Yuji Kuroiwa, the governor of Kanagawa Prefecture. At The convention, the two sides have taken the initial step of exchanging and establishing a friendly cooperation relationship between the two provinces of Binh Phuoc - Kanagawa. Also, the Party Secretary Nguyen Manh Cuong has expressed a desire to increase the cooperation between the two localities in the field of people's foreign affairs, cultural diplomacy, specifically asking that the governor of Kanagawa be interested in supporting Binh Phuoc province in selecting, introducing prominent Japanese investors, experiences to survey Binh Phuoc, and investment cooperation, particularly vocational cooperation, and intelligent urban development planning.

Currently, Japan is Vietnam's leading economic partner and the largest ODA donor. As of 2021, Japan is the third and fourth largest trading partner in terms of FDI. Many of Japan's major projects have been completed and put into operation very effectively, with considerable regional and regional marks in Vietnam, particularly in the areas of infrastructure development and high-tech agricultural applications. In the coming period, the Trans-Pacific Partnership and Progress Agreement (CPTPP) came into effect, which was expected to significantly develop investment and business cooperation between Japan and Vietnam./.
