Receiving the accompanying delegation were Mr Nguyen Manh Cuong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Ms Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, and representatives of leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee and related departments, agencies, and sectors.
At a meeting between the parties, Mr Cuong said that, in 2021, in the context of COVID-19, Binh Phuoc’s economic growth stood at 6.32 percent - the highest in Vietnam’s southeast region.
It holds many advantages in terms of land, he went on, with large areas of forests and industrial crops, and has significant potential in biomass energy development thanks to abundant residuals from agricultural production and forestry activities.
The development of biomass power would diversify energy supply sources and has attracted the interest of provincial leaders.
He affirmed that provincial leaders will create all favourable conditions and preferential policies permitted by the Government for businesses investing in biomass power. Binh Phuoc considers the source a stepping stone to opening the door to a green and renewable energy industry in the province./.
