Connecting trade and promoting investment between Vietnam and Laos in Binh Phuoc

(Binh Phuoc Portal) - On the afternoon of March 26, Binh Phuoc Billionaire Farmers Club and S'Tieng Farm Store cooperated with AutoAgri Software Technology Joint Stock Company to organize a Vietnam - Laos investment and trade promotion program in Binh Phuoc province. Attending the program were representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture - Forestry of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic and leaders of some related departments, branches and enterprises of Binh Phuoc province.

Stated at the meeting, Mr. Sisawath Homdara - Deputy Chief of the Office of the Lao Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said: Over the years, Laos agricultural sector has had the support and cooperation of Vietnam in areas from agricultural planning, irrigation to technology transfer, staff training and professional coordination in professional work such as cultivation, plant protection, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, irrigation, forestry, fisheries. Extensive cooperation activities between the two sides have created conditions to promote economic development, trade and investment in the fields of agriculture and rural areas of the two countries. Laos currently has 18 investment projects that are being implemented stably in Vietnam with a total registered capital of over 110 million USD. Lao enterprises are facilitated by Vietnamese authorities in the process of investment and business in Vietnam. In the coming time, Laos wishes to continue to cooperate more in the field of agriculture with Vietnam in general and Binh Phuoc province in particular.

Director of the Provincial Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association of Binh Phuoc province - Mr. Tran Quoc Duy introduced the investment, business and trade connection environment of Binh Phuoc province. “With the strength of agricultural land accounting for over 64% of the province’s area, the value of agricultural production - forestry and fishery accounts for 25% of the economic structure, Binh Phuoc is a province with advantages in agricultural development. After more than 27 years of re-establishment, the appearance and economic potential of Binh Phuoc province has changed positively, gradually affirming its position in the southern key economic region, contributing increasingly important to the overall development of the country. The program looks forward to receiving an exchange and discussion to find a new direction to promote investment and two-way trade between Vietnam and Laos” said by Mr. Tran Quoc Duy.

As expected, at the meeting, the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Agriculture - Forestry and the departments, branches, enterprises and cooperatives of Binh Phuoc province discussed and found a new direction to promote investment and two-way trade between Vietnam and Laos, especially in the field of agriculture.

Previously, in the morning, the delegation of the Lao Ministry of Agriculture - Forestry and leaders of a number of departments and branches of Binh Phuoc province visited Mr. Bui Dai Ta’s buffalo and cow farm, Quarter 2, Thanh Tam Ward, Chon Thanh Town and Nhat Tien Bird's Nest MTV Limited Liability Company Limited, Phuoc Tan Quarter, Tan Thien Ward, Dong Xoai City.
