Groundbreaking ceremony of “Samsung Hope School”

(Binh Phuoc Portal)- On the afternoon of March 14, 2024, the People’s Committee of Dong Xoai city held a groundbreaking ceremony for the “Samsung Hope School” in Tan Thanh commune. Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee - Mrs. Tran Tue Hien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee - Mrs. Tran Tuyet Minh, Secretary of Dong Xoai City Party Committee - Mr. Ha Anh Dung and leaders of departments and branches of the province and Dong Xoai city attended the groundbreaking ceremony.

Students of Tan Thanh Primary School attended the groundbreaking ceremony of “Samsung Hope School” 

The “Samsung Hope School” is sponsored by Samsung Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. and KFHI Korea, with a total investment capital of construction and equipment procurement of about 23.82 billion VND, equivalent to 1 million USD. The project is built on an area of 9.000m2 including a 2-storey classroom building, 1 operator, 1 multi-purpose house and other auxiliary items to serve the activities, teaching and learning needs of teachers and students in the school.

The work is expected to be completed in 2024. This will be the place to implement the child development program through the selection of 300 students with difficult circumstances, poor students from primary school to junior high school in the wards and communes of Dong Xoai city.

Cultural activities to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony of “Samsung Hope School”

At the ceremony, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Dong Xoai City- Mr. Nguyen Minh Binh committed to coordinate and support KFHI Korea, Samsung Vietnam Company to implement in accordance with the contents, programs, scope, ensuring the progress, quality and effectiveness of the project. “Samsung Hope School” will contribute to building and developing Dong Xoai to become a green city - a converged and smart city in the future.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Choi Joo Ho, General Director of Samsung Vietnam Complex shared: The investment goal of the project is to organize free extracurricular programs for disadvantaged children, helping children develop comprehensively physically as well as life skills. With the mission of spreading knowledge, sharing visions and creating a future for the young generation of Vietnam, hopefully with this school, Binh Phuoc children will promote their own abilities, nurture their abilities, become pioneers for positive changes, contribute to the social development of Vietnam in the future.
