Binh Phuoc leaders work with VRG DongWha MDF Joint Stock Company

(BP Portal) - Secretary of Binh Phuoc Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong recently received and worked with leaders of VRG DongWha MDF Joint Stock Company.

According to Kim Hong Jin, Regional General Manager of Dong Wha Group, VRG DongWha MDF Joint Stock Company was established in 2008 in the form of a joint venture between Vietnam Rubber Group and DongWha Group. The company currently has 2 production lines with a capacity of 480,000m3/year and is launching  the third production line with a capacity of about 600,000m3/year on an area of about 30 hectares at Minh Hung III Industrial Park (Chon Thanh district), which has a capital investment of 150 million USD. The project is expected to be put under construction in the third quarter of 2022 and will come into operation in early 2024, thereby contributing to the State budget about 12 million USD/year from the current 6 million USD/year. The firm has completed the bidding for equipment purchase, the signing of installation contracts as well as necessary procedures in order to launch ground-breaking ceremony for the project.

However, Mr. Kim Hong Jin said that, the company has still faced difficulties and it is in need of support from the provincial leaders and local agencies and sectors, such as: urging to soon complete documents for submission to the Prime Minister for getting approval of the policy on investment expansion; early compensating for site clearance and land handover for the company to carry out construction; supporting the installation of electricity system to meet production demand and assisting in terms of the business records, fire protection and prevention procedures. In particular, it is necessary to carry out assessment of environmental impacts and construction permits at the same time to facilitate the company's construction on schedule.

At the working session, leaders of provincial departments and sectors explained and gave answers to the company's questions. Accordingly, all documents and procedures related to the project have been completed and submitted to ministries, Central sectors and the Government, and the results will be available in June. After getting approval from the Prime Minister, the province will support the company to start construction on schedule.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Cuong highly appreciated the companionship of VRG DongWha MDF Joint Stock Company with Binh Phuoc over the past 15 years. The provincial leader asked relevant departments and sectors to closely coordinate with one another to soon complete necessary procedures at the request of investors, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Mr. Cuong also suggested the Provincial People's Committee to work with the  the Southern Power Corporation (EVNSPC) to urge the installation of electricity system to meet power demand of not only DongWha Company but also of the whole industrial park in the future; and work with the Vietnam Rubber Group to solve the issue of land handover to the company according to the schedule.

On this occasion, VRG DongWha MDF Joint Stock Company donated 500 million VND to the provincial charity fund./.
