The Department of Industry and Trade functions as an advisor to help the provincial People's Committee manage state affairs related to industry and trade, covering areas and sectors such as: mechanical engineering; metallurgy; electricity; new energy; renewable energy; energy conservation and efficiency; petroleum (if available); chemicals; industrial explosives; mining and processing minerals (excluding common building materials); consumer goods industry; food industry; supporting industries; environmental industries; other processing industries; handicrafts; industrial promotion; trade activities and goods circulation within the province; sustainable production and consumption; exports and imports; border trade; trade promotion; e-commerce; commercial services; competition management; consumer protection and management of multi-level marketing activities; trade defense; international economic integration; and management of industrial clusters within the province according to legal regulations.
