(BP Portal) - On 21/5, the working group of the Binh Phuoc Provincial Military Command led by Colonel Nguyen Quang Binh, the provincial Standing Committee member, the head of the Provincial Military Command, who served as the commander of the Provincial Military Command, paid a visit to the cadres and soldiers of the K72 team who were on their search and rescue mission, and ordered the remains of Vietnamese volunteers killed on the Cambodian battlefield of Cambodia phase XXII and proceeding inauguration, handover, put into use the concrete route in the Military Subdistrict of Kampong Thom, Kingdom of Cambodia.
Also in attendance was Lieutenant General Sam Sun, commander of the provincial military Sub-region of Kampong Thom province
The route is 28m long, 5m wide and 15cm thick, with a total investment of over 400 million VND supported by Binh Phuoc province's Military Command. The connecting route from the military sub-region of Kampong Thom province passes to where the K72 team is being based and tasked with the search and registering mission of the remains of Vietnamese volunteers who died on the Cambodian battlefield and were repatriated to the country for burial.
For over six days (20/4 – 26/4/2023), officers and soldiers of the K72 team have coordinated with the leader of the Kampong Thom Provincial Military Subdistrict to conduct measurement, monitor and construction according to design and quality assurance. The completion route contributes to facilitating the circulation of the K72 Team during the implementation of the mission in Kampong Thom Province, while also serving the internal circulation of the Kampong Thom Province Military Subdistrict agencies.
On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command and the delegation visited, encouraged officers and soldiers of the K72 Team to perform duties in 2 provinces (Kampong Thom and Kratie, Kingdom of Cambodia). As of 21/5, the K72 Team was looking for, collecting 59 martyrs sacrificed on the battlefield of Cambodia. The provincial Military Command has also agreed to advocate for Team K72 to repair the cafeteria, kitchen for officers and soldiers with a budget of over VND 70 million./.
