In recent years, Binh Phuoc province's foreign affairs have achieved important results, promoting regional linkages, international cooperation and the image of the province to the international community. Foreign investment promotion and attraction have resulted in many positive changes. The demarcation has been completed in accordance with the set plan. The management of exit and entry delegations, and the management of NGO projects have been strictly implemented in accordance with regulations. The province continues to maintain and expand relationships with Consulates General, organizations, partners and businesses from Korea, Israel, Japan, Australia and Singapore. Currently, the province is promoting twinning with one city of Japan and Ubon Ratchathani province of Thailand to call for cooperation and investment.
Binh Phuoc has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with five provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia to promote trade cooperation, regularly maintain periodic briefings, coordinate border patrols, protect landmarks, and crime prevention. In June 2017, the province welcomed Prime Minister Hun Sen and members of the high-ranking delegation of the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia to Vietnam on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Prime Minister Hun Sen and his teammates starting the revolutionary path to save Cambodia from the Pol Pot genocidal regime. In December 2017, the 11th meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee on the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle Area was held in Binh Phuoc. In 2018, Binh Phuoc province welcomed Mr. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Tea Banh to visit some historical sites in Loc Ninh district.
Achieving these results is thanks to the close direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, the professional support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the efforts of the Board of Directors and all officers and employees of the Department of Foreign Affairs in consulting work.
In order to continue promoting the achievements, in the coming time, the Department of Foreign Affairs will focus on advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to strictly implement the direction of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on the implementation of five key tasks in foreign affairs in the locality at the 19th National Foreign Affairs Conference, in which priority is given to international economic integration.
Accordingly, the province will promote international integration to serve the goal of sustainable development; continue to improve the investment environment to promote exports, attract FDI, take advantage of ODA and alternative sources. The province will effectively exploit local-level cooperation with foreign partners and enterprises, thereby expanding markets and taking advantage of resources in capital, technology, and management skills.
Binh Phuoc will accelerate the implementation of the Strategy for Cultural Diplomacy, the Strategy of Information and Propaganda of Foreign Affairs; border and territory work, consular work, citizen protection, management of foreign non-governmental organizations, organization of international conferences and seminars and specialized inspection of foreign affairs in the province.
The province will continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee on the unified management of external activities; to step up research, advice and strategic forecasting on world and regional situations that are likely to affect the locality and Vietnam's integration commitments to be implemented. Binh Phuoc will continue to strengthen the entire machine for foreign affairs to ensure that it meets the requirements of the period of accelerated industrialization - modernization, and extensive and comprehensive international integration./.
