(BP Portal) - After nearly 2 years of implementation, on the morning, 10/5, Japfa Comfeed Vietnam Limited Liability Company (Japfa Vietnam) officially put into operation the most modern animal feed factory and slaughtering factory in Binh Phuoc.
Two factories in Minh Hung - Sikico Industrial Park, Dong No Commune, Hon Quan district. The event marks an important milestone in the process of completing the Feed - Farm - Food supply chain, affirming the company’s commitment to sustainable development in the Vietnamese market.
The ceremony of honor was welcomed by: Mr. Denny Abdi - Ambassador of the Plenipotentiary of Indonesia to Vietnam; Mr.Phung Duc Tien - Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Central Committee Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Committee Binh Phuoc - Mr.Nguyen Manh Cuong; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial People’s Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee – Mrs.Tran Tue Hien; representative of the ministries, central and local branches and many guests.
The production plant for Animal feed on Stage 1 reached a capacity of 240.000 tons/year with an investment of nearly 400 billion VND. In the second phase, the plant will increase capacity to 480.000 tons/year, ensure a supply of quality animal feeds for the Southeast and Tay Nguyen markets. It is said, the most modern plant of Japfa Vietnam, to be built using modern technology with cold storage systems at 20-250C vitamin storage, conditionality, and so on to maintain a stable quality of the raw materials production. Environmental factors were placed on the plant through the installation of a 100m3/day wastewater treatment system and furnace emissions technology which reduced carbon footprint.
For Japfa Binh Phuoc's poultry slaughter plant, which covers an area of nearly 15 hectares, reaches a capacity of 60.000 animals/day, with an investment of more than 400 billion VND. The plant is equipped with modern infrastructure, imported from Europe, up to GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 standards. The factory has officially come into operation to meet the diverse needs of various customer groups such as restaurants, hotels, trusts, fast-food chain...
General Director Japfa Vietnam -Mr.Arif Widjaja said: With the launch of these projects, Japfa Vietnam sets a target of 1.5 million tons by 2023, finalizing the Feed - Farm - Food supply chain and recruiting over 200 local workers. In the next phase, the company will continue to expand its investment to optimize production productivity, train human resources, improve product quality, bring value to its customers, and target collaboration for prosperity.
Agriculture was the mainstay of the econom, Mr. Phung Duc Tien, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, informed the delegates of the outstanding achievements in agriculture in the past. Acknowledging the significant contributions made by Company Japfa to the Vietnamese livestock sector, the Vice Minister stated that, with the potential, experience of Japfa Vietnam, the project of the animal feeds and poultry slaughter plant in Binh Phuoc to come into operation will make an active contribution to the integration and development of the Vietnamese livestock sector in a safe, efficient and sustainable direction.
In terms of the local perspective, the President of the Provincial People’s Committee - Mrs. Tran Tue Hien affirmed: Party and government of Binh Phuoc Province are very happy when Japfa Vietnam Company chooses the province as the largest investment destination in the Vietnamese market with a commitment to register a chain of livestock projects of USD 230 million. Japfa’s presence is a convincing testament to Binh Phuoc province’s attractiveness in attracting investment to large FDI enterprises.

Emphasizing the Vietnam-Indonesia strategic partnership over the past 10 years, Indonesia’s plenipotentiary ambassador to Vietnam – Mr. Denny Abdi said: “The two countries agreed to set a new bilateral trade target of $15 billion by 2028. Currently, more than 30 Indonesian companies have been operating in Vietnam with a total cumulative investment of USD 638.8 million.
Expressing joy, noting the development of Japfa Group in Vietnam, Mr. Denny Abdi believes that the inauguration of Japfa’s feed factory and slaughtering plant in Binh Phuoc will bring a deep understanding of opportunities for potential Indonesian investors into Vietnam.
Japfa was present in Vietnam in 1996 by a joint venture model with the Vietnam Livestock Corporation. In 1999, Japfa became a 100% foreign investment enterprise under the name Japfa Comfeed Limited Liability Company Vietnam. Currently, the company operates 8 animal feed factories, more than 1.600 poultry and livestock farms and a system of 40 stores that distribute fresh meat products and processed food brand Japfa Best. In Binh Phuoc, Japfa has had many investment activities over the years, focusing on developing closed-chain livestock farm systems.
